YOON SANGHYUN
고요한 밤하늘에 반짝이는 별들이 수놓은 은하수처럼 윤상현 도예가의 도자기는 영롱하며 반짝인다. 전통적인 형태에 오랜 시간 연구로 만들어낸 결정 유약을 입혀 가마에서 구워내면 심연처럼 깊은 푸른빛과 진주처럼 은은한 빛을 품은 윤상현의 시그니처 도자기가 만들어진다. 전통을 지키며 현대적인 모습을 입혀 더 한 아름다움을 추구하는 도자기는 우리의 생활에 아름다운 오브제로 자리하기를 기대한다.
작가의 작업은 면치기 기법을 통해 독특한 면과 질감의 깊이를 가지며, 시리즈를 통틀어 보았을 때, 이는 마치 우주의 여정을 하나의 이야기로 엮은 듯한 효과를 줍니다. 이 화병은 마치 우주의 신비를 품은 듯, 우유빛 캔버스 위에 은하수가 춤을 추는 모습을 담고자 하였다.결정유 기법으로 섬세하게 새겨진 그 무늬는 단순함 속에 숨겨진 복잡한 아름다움을 드러내며, 마치 은은한 광채를 발하는 별빛 같습니다. 보는 이로하여금 언어로 표현할 수 없는 우아함과 정교함을 선사하며, 그 자체로 한 편의 시를 이루는 듯, 관조와 명상의 대상이 되고자한다. 그것은 자연의 아름다움과 인간의 솜씨가 어우러져 창조된, 시간과 공간을 초월한 예술을 표현한다.
